"I originally got into sport at a young age when I started playing rugby union when I was six years old. As I rose through the age groups, I found the required fitness to be higher and the amount of training to be longer and more intense. When I turned 16 years old, I got into attending the gym to attempt to put some size on and increase my physical strength and power.

At the time I thought this would help in the physical contact area of the sport of rugby union. This is where I realised my passion for fitness and weight lifting. I take a heavy amount of inspiration from people like 'The Rock', Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Goggins. This is both looking at their training and physique; as well as their ethos and positive growth mindsets.

The challenge I faced when growing up was when I was 19 years old and playing in the last rugby game I would participate in, I got injured and tore my ACL in my right knee. The challenge here was not only the physical rehabilitation of my leg; but the mental determination to complete the rehab of my leg and become confident in its ability to perform again.

If I was giving advice to a 10-year-old former self, I would say to try as many different sports and hobbies as possible and to be consistent with physical training and reading to best nurture that growth mindset and become a well-rounded individual of a man.

I would also say to constantly fight through life and its challenges in order to progress; and to always treat others as you expect to be treated. I organise my time with an element of extreme discipline; this being training two times a day, working multiple jobs and providing the best lifestyle I can for my partner and son.
The reason for my early 4 am wake ups is that as a discipline; it gives me time to build on myself through physical training, developing my photography work and get myself set up for the working day. Furthermore, this is mainly fueled by the hunger for success of myself and my family".

Personal Mantra: "Work hard, keep consistent, be kind, remain disciplined and you will be rewarded".

Individuals in life who inspire me: My father, 'The Rock', Arnold, David Goggins and Georges St-Pierre.
